Prof. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University, announced his approval to begin the preparation of the university’s file to apply for the international classification of sustainable green universities (GreenMetric), explaining that the university will harness all the capabilities of team work to achieve a distinguished position in this ranking which based on the 2030 vision for sustainable development.
Prof. Hamdi Hassanein, Director of Sustainable Development center and General Coordinator of the university’s file in this classification, explained the main steps for preparing the requirements of the standards and the evidences supporting them, as well as the application mechanism and deadlines for that.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Imad Samuel, Dean of faculty of Education and Coordinator of the Education and Scientific Research Standard, Prof. Talaat Ali, Vice Dean of faculty of Engineering and Coordinator of the Transport Standard, Dr. Muhammad Heshmat, Director of the University Information Center, Dr. Alaa Abdel Samie, Coordinator of Energy and Climate Change Standard, Eng. Nawal Omar, coordinator of water Management Standard and Mrs. Heba Adel,Sohag University Translator.
