Prof. Hassan Al-Noaman, President of the University, inaugurated the 100 Million Trees Initiative by planting 1,000 trees at the university’s new headquarters, in cooperation with the Hengelha( we will beautify it) Foundation for Sustainable Development, in the presence of both Prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs. Environmental Development, Engineer Muhammad Qabtan, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, and a number of staff members and students.

 

Al-Numani assured on providing all  the needs for these trees after planting them and follow their irrigation.

Moreover Engineer Muhammad Qabtan said that the 100 Million Trees Initiative is not just an initiative to plant trees to benefit from the aesthetic appearance of trees and plants, but rather it is an initiative that has an environmental, global and economic impact, explaining that this initiative also comes to achieve the goals of the presidential initiative in increasing green spaces to reduce climate change and global warming.
