Prof. Hassan Al-Noaman, Sohag University President, hosted a delegation from the Egyptian Cement Factory, to discuss joint cooperation mechanisms and how to benefit from the scientific and practical experiences of both parties, in the presence of Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for community service and environmental development affairs, Prof. Ahmed Qassem, dean of faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Hamdi. Hassanein, director of the Sustainability Center, and a number of staff members at faculty of Engineering, and representatives of the factory, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Muti, head of the Operations Sector, Engineer Ayman Al-Muhtaseb, director of the Factory, and Dr. Chemist Ali Hanafi, Director of Quality and Scientific Research.

Al-Numan explained that the meeting discussed ways to enhance joint relations between the two sides, and agreed to hold a cooperation protocol in several fields, including benefiting from scientific and practical experiences and exchanging visits with the staff members in the faculties of science, engineering, technology and education, and also providing training programs and workshops for students and graduates to learn about everything new in the field of the cement industry, and to provide technical and material support for distinguished scientific research, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of waste recycling in the fields of the cement industry.
