Sohag University President Participates in planting 1,000 Meters of Grass In implementing of the State’s Directions towards Green Transformation

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, participated in the activities of planting 1,000 meters of grass at the university’s new headquarters, within the framework of the university’s continued implementation of the state’s directions towards sustainable development and green transformation and activating the goals of the “100 Million Trees” presidential initiative, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, as a solution that contributes to confronting climate change and helps preserve the environment and its natural resources.

Al-Numany explained that the university continues to implement its development plans towards increasing the green area and planting large areas and roads within the university’s two headquarters, to create a healthy, green environment that has an attractive aesthetic and cultural appearance, ensuring the balance of ecosystems and improving the quality of life, as well as promoting positive behaviors and sound practices to participate seriously. In preserving the environment, and spreading awareness of the importance of afforestation and its role in improving the general appearance of the university campus, in addition to providing a clean and a suitable atmosphere for all university employees.

It is worth noting that the University President participated in preparing and planting 500 meters in front of faculty of Education building, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and another 500 meters are being prepared in preparation for planting during the Coming period.
